Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned dollars to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.

In trading on Friday, music & electronics stores shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 2.9%. Leading the group were shares of Hhgregg (HGG), up about 17.1% and shares of Radioshack (RSH) up about 2.2% on the day.

After the bell on Thursday, Yelp (YELP) reported a third quarter loss of just $2 million, or 3 cents per share — much stronger than the same period last year. The company is forecasting strong fourth quarter revenue in the range of $40 million to $40.5 million, in line with analyst estimates.

This morning, Ebix (EBIX) declared its quarterly dividend of 5 cents per share, maintaining the amount paid to shareholders last quarter. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 0.9% going forward.

In trading on Thursday, vehicle manufacturers shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 3.8%. Leading the group were shares of Wabash National (WNC), up about 21.9% and shares of Tata Motors (TTM) up about 5.1% on the day.
