Swiss unemployment rate at 2.8%, Eurozone unemployment steady at 7.2%.

Unemployment numbers were released out of Europe today with not much changing from last month. The Swiss unemployment rate edged up a bit in December to 2.8 percent according to data by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office. The Swiss November unemployment rate was 2.7 percent. The Eurozone unemployment rate for November stayed the same as October at 7.2 percent in news released by Eurostat. November's rate is down from 7.9 percent in November 2006. The Netherlands at 2.9 percent and Denmark at 3.2 percent were the lowest unemployment rates while Slovakia at 11.0 percent and Poland at 8.5 percent notched the highest unemployment rates for November in the Eurozone.
