U.S. Department of Labor nonfarm payrolls gained 94,000 jobs for November. Unemployment rate holds steady.

The U.S. Department of Labor released its nonfarm payroll statistics for November and showed an increase of 94,000 jobs, beating forecasts. The unemployment rate stayed the same at 4.7 percent for the 3rd consecutive month. The report showed that "job growth continued in several service-providing industries" while manufacturing, construction, real estate and financial activities employment had declined. November's statistics follow September's 44,000 and October's 170,000 increases in employment. Read the full report here.
